Achievements 2021-2022

i) Tamilnadu teams participated in the South Zone Senior State Championship held on 06.11.2021 at Thirupathi. Tamilnadu team won the Overall Championship.

ii) Tamilnadu teams also took part in the All India Open Air Championship and the students from Tamilnadu collected the overall Championship

Achievements 2020-2021

Tamilnadu Taekwondo Association participated in the following Nationals and Asian Championships

i) All India 1st online Open Poomsae Taekwondo Championship held at Odisha from 29.09.2020 to 02.10.2020 – Tamilnadu won the Championship

ii) Asian Qualification Tournament held at Jordan for Olympics on 23rd May 2021 – Sri Sadam Hussain took part and having training at SAI Centre.

Achievements 2018-2019

At the 35th National Boys & Girls Kurki Championship held at Visakhapatnam, Tamilnadu team won 3 Gold, 4 silver and 5 Bronze Medals.

Cadet Boys & Girls team 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals.

Tamilnadu team won the team Championship.

1) Vivek Kumar (Tiruvallur) - Gold Medal

a) Tamilnadu won the overall Championship at 6th South Zone Championship held at Kerala

b) Tamilnadu won 1 Gold and 3 Silver Medals at the 36th All India Senior Men & Women Championship at Haridwar, Uttarakhand.

c) Tamilnadu won 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals at the 37th Junior Championship and 5 Bronze Medals in the 34th Sub-Junior Nationals

d) Miss P.Anusuya Priyadarshini won Gold Medal in the 37th Junior Boys & Girls Championship at Chaattisgarh.

Achievements 2016-2017

36th All India Kurki Teakwondo Championship and 9th Poompse Taekwondo Championship were held at Maharashtra from 22nd to 25th September 2016. Our players won 1 Silver and 5 Bronze Medals.

Khelo India National Championship was held from 31st January to 5th February 2017 at Chennai. Tamil Nadu Team won the overall Team Championship with 10 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals.

35th Senior & 8th Poomse Championship were held in Andhra Pradesh. Tamilnadu won 1 Gold & 2 Bronze Medals.

29th Sub-Junior State, Cadet Junior & Senior Kurki Teakwondo, 5th State Sub-Junior Cadet, Junior & Senior Poomse Teakwondo Championships were held at Dindigul from 25th to 28th August 2016, about 1791 participants took part in it, in which International Referees participated.

For the first time C.M. Trophy was held at Tirupur from 26th to 29th December 2016. District Collector and SDAT officials successfully conducted the Championship and distributed the Cash Awards.

Achievements 2015-2016

Ms. P.Anusuya Priyadarshini of Salem took part in the 1st Asian Cadet Taekwondo Championship at China and won Bronze Medal. She also participated in the 2nd World Cadet Taekwondo Championship at Korea from 23rd to 26th August 2015.

Mr. P.Selvamani, Secretary, Tamilnadu Taekwondo Association was the International Referee at the 12th South Asian Games held at Guwahati from 11th to 17th February 2016.

The Tamilnadu Taekwondo team won 3 Gold, 2 Silver & 2 Bronze Medals at the Cadet Kurki Taekwondo Championship held at Haryana during 26th to 28th May 2015.

Mr. S.R.Roobak of Chennai won a Bronze Medal at 33rd Junior National Taekwondo Championship held at Hyderabad from 6th to 9th September 2015.

Tamilnadu Team won 1 gold and 3 Bronze Medals at the 34th National Championship for Men & Women held at Jalandhar, Punjab from 9th to 11th October 2015.

Achievements 2014-2015

Mr. Abdul Wahib from Tamilnadu represented India in the 1st World Cadet Taekwondo Championship held at Bakuazervaijan from 24th to 27th July 2014 and brought laurels to Tamilnadu by winning a Bronze Medal.

Ms. P.Anusuya Priyadarshini from Tamilnadu represented India in the 1st Asian Cadet Taekwondo Competition held at Chinese Taipei on 16th April 2015 and won the Bronze Medal.

Achievements 2013-2014

Mr. Abdul Wahib from Tamilnadu represented India in the 1st World Cadet Taekwondo Championship held at Bakuazervaijan from 24th to 27th July 2014 and brought laurels to Tamilnadu by winning a Bronze Medal.

Likewise Ms. P.Anusuya Priyadarshini represented India in the 1st Asian Cadet Taekwondo Competition held at Chinese Taipei on 16th April 2015 and won the Bronze Medal.

Achievements 2012-2013

Tamilnadu participated in the Nationals held at Assam from 6th & 7th April 2012, Lucknow from 4th to 6th May 2012. All India Taekwondo at Salem, Boys Nationals from 5th to 7th October 2012, 5th Nationals under-19 (Students) at Trivandrum from 27th to 30th October 2012, for students from 18th to 21st November 2012 and secured Medals in the above Championships.

Achievements 2011-2012

Tamilnadu Taekwondo Association had participated in the 56th National Taekwondo contest for students from 23rd to 25th April 2011 and secured 3 Gold (Senior Boys), 1 Gold (Super Senior) held at Mumbai, Maharashtra.

At the All India Students Taekwondo Competition at Jharkhand from 26th to 28th August 2011 Tamilnadu secured One Gold.

Tamilnadu also participated in the 31st National School Games Taekwondo Championship held at Jharkhand from 26th to 28th August 2011 and won One Gold, One Silver and 2 Bronze Medals.

Besides the above Tamilnadu participated at the 57th All India School Games Taekwondo Competition at Goa on 15th & 16th December 2011 secured 1 Gold, 4 Silver & 6 Bronze Medals.

Tamilnadu took part in the PYKKA 4th National level Competition under 19years and secured 2 Gold, 2 Silver & 3 Bronze Medals.
