Achievements 2021-2022
State Championships:
In the 64th NSCC, Tamilnadu shooters won 4 Gold, 11 Silver and 9 Bronze Medals in Individual and Team Events of Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun.
Amar Chakravarthy Kishore from Madurai Rifle Club achieved first place in 50 M Three Position Junior Men event of Selection Trials 2, 2022 held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Coimbatore Rifle Club shooter Gayathri won first place in 50 M 3 Position Women event and Shri Nivetha secured third place in 10 M Air Pistol Women Event in the Selection Trial 3,2022 held at New Delhi.
In the 12th South Zone Shooting Championship Competitions 2021 for shotgun events was organized by TNSA at Chennai and our Tamilnadu shooters won 11 Gold, 6 Silver and 6 Bronze medals in this event.
Achievements 2020-2021
State Championships:
The 46th Tamilnadu State Shooting Championship (Rifle/Pistol) at Veerapuram Shooting Range, Chennai from 2nd to 7th March 2021. 850 Men & Women Shooters participated in the event. The matches were conducted in Youth, Junior and Senior categories in Air Rifle / Pistol events and Junior and Senior categories in Fire Arm events.
The 46th Tamilnadu State Shooting Championship Shotgun events were conducted at Chennai Rifle Club’s Dr. Sivanthi Adityan Trap & Skeet Shooting Range, Alamathi, Red Hills, Chennai from 14th to 19th March 2021. 175 Shooters participated in Trap, Double Trap and Skeet events.
National Championships:
XII South Zone Shooting Championship in Rifle/Pistol (NR) events was conducted by Tamilnadu Shooting Association at Tamilnadu Special Police, 3rd Battalion Shooting Range, Veerapuram, Avadi, Chennai from 9th to 13th March 2021. Rifle and Pistol events conducted with 450 Shooters from the South Zone States.
XII South Zone Shooting Championship in Shotgun events was conducted by Tamilnadu Shooting Association at Chennai Rifle Club’s Dr. Sivanthi Adityan Trap & Skeet Shooting Range, Alamathi, Red Hills, Chennai from 20th to 29th March 2021.
Achievements 2019-2020
The 63rd National Shooting Championship in Shot Gun events were held at Delhi from 16th to 30th November 2019. 40 shooters from Tamilnadu had participated in this Competition. Mr. D.V.Seetharama Rao, President, Tamilnadu Shooting Association has won a Silver Medal in Double Trap Veteran Category. Raja R.Rajagopal Thondaiman has won a Gold Medal in Skeet Veteran Category and won a Silver Medal in Trap Veteran Category.
The 63rd National Shooting Championship in Rifle & Pistol events were held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from 7th December 2019 to 4th January 2020. 180 Shooters from Tamilnadu had participated in this competition. Tamilnadu has won 5 Gold, 6 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals.

National Championships:
i) 10th South Zone Shooting Championship in Shot Gun events were held at Hyderabad from 3rd to 7th October 2018.
Master C.N.Nalia of Chennai won a Gold Medal. Miss. N.Nivetha & N.Keerthana of Coimbatore Rifle Club won a Gold Medal and 2 Bronze Medals.
ii) 62nd National Shot Gun competition in Shot gun events were held at Jaipur from 15th November to 3rd December 2018.
Mr. D.V.Seetharama Rao, President won a Silver Medal in Double Trap in Veteran Category.
Mr. R.Rajagopal Thondaiman won a Silver Medal in Skeet Veteran category.
Prithviraj Thondaiman won a Bronze Medal in Trap and Partnering with N.Nivetha won a Bronze Medal in Mixed Doubles.
62nd Nationals in Rifle & Pistol held at Trivandrum from 15th November to 7th December 2018. Tamilnadu won 5 Gold, 13 Silver and 26 Bronze Medals.

1) 43rd State Shooting Championship in Rifle and Pistol were conducted from 12th to 16th July 2017 by Chennai Rifle Club.
2) Shot Gun Competition was conducted at Alamathi, Chennai from 1st to 4th September 2017.
3) 9th South Zone Shooting Championship in Rifle and Pistol event were held at Chennai from 21st to 26th August 2017.
Tamilnadu won 74 Gold 46 Silver & 45 Bronze Medals
4) In the 61st National Shooting Championship in Shotgun event held at New Delhi, Tamilnadu won 2
Gold and 2 Silver Medals.
Miss N.Nivetha of Coimbatore Rifle Club won Gold and Raja R.Rajagopal Thodaiman won a Gold Medal in
Skeet (Veteran).
Mr. D.V.Seetha Rama Rao, President won a Silver Medal in indivual Double Trap Veteran category.

5) In the 61st National Shooting Competition in Rifle and Pistol held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
from 11th to 31st December 2017. Tamilnadu won 3 Gold, 4 silver and 3 Bronze Medals.
Miss. Nivetha, Squad Camp Shooter was represented World Cup Trap Shooting held at Italy and Junior
World Championship in Moscow.
Mr. D.V.Seetharama Rao was the Organising Secretary for ISSF World Cup Finals and Technical Delegate in Khelo India Games held from 31.01.2018 to 04.02.2018.
He has been elected as Joint Secretary of Indian Olympic Association.
Achievements 2016-2017
National Championships:
National Competitions in Rifle & Pistol events were held at Pune from 12th to 24th December 2016 at Pune. Tamilnadu won 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 8 Bronze Medals.
Miss. P.Shri Nivetha of Coimbatore Rifle Club (An International Shooter) represented India in ISSF World Cup Competition and also in 10M Air Pistol event in 2nd Canadian Air Gun Grand Prix Shooting Competition at Cooskville, Canada
Miss N.Gayatri – She won the title of Champion of Champions in 50M Rifle Prone, participated in Junior World Cup at Suhl, Germany in the month of May 2016. Won a Gold Medal in 50M Rifle Prone Women Team and Bronze Medal in Individual category.
N.Gayatri took part in 24th Meeting of Shooting Hopes at Czech Republic in June 2016 and ISSF Junior World Cup held in GABALA, Azerbaijan and won medals. Ranked 1st in Prone match (Junior Women) during the year 2016. She was selected for ISSF World Cup in 3P Women held at Delhi in February 2017.
Miss Sandhya W. participated in the 8th South Zone Shooting Championship in Rifle & Pistol event and won 3 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal. Sandhya was awarded Rotary Yard Achiever Award for Sports-2017 by rotary Mid West.
Miss. Srinithi won Silver Medal in 50M Rifle Prone I Position match in the 8th South Zone Shooting Championship held at Madurai. She also won 2 Gold and 1 Bronze in 50M Rifle Prone and 50M Rifle 3 position.
She also won 1 Gold, 1 Silver & 1 Bronze in Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship held at Trivandrum. She participated in Big Bore National Championship held at Kadarpur and won 2 Silver Medals in 300M 3 position Women match
Miss A.S.Shalini – A Junior Shooter from River View Shooting Club, Chennai participated in State South Zone and National Shooting Championship won 2 Bronze Medals, individual medal in 10M Air Pistol Youth Women and in 10M Air Pistol Junior Women Civil category.

2) Ms. Sandhya W. participated in the Junior ISSF World Cup Shooting Competition at SUHLGERMANY and also in the Meeting of Shooting Hopes Championship Competition held at PLZENCZECH REPUBLIC in June 2014.
3) Ms. P.Shri Nivetha participated in the Junior ISSF World Cup Shooting Competition at SUHLGERMANY and in the Meeting of Shooting Hopes Championship at PLZEN-CZECH REPUBLIC in June 2014. She won a Silver Medal in the Individual event and the Bronze Medal in the Team event. She also participated in the World Shooting Championship held in Spain during September 2014.
1) 24th All India G.V.Mavlankar Shooting Championship in Rifle and Pistol events held at Ahmedabad, Gujarat from 5th to 15th October 2014.
2) 58th National Shooting Championship in Rifle & Pistol events held at Pune from 12th to 24th December 2014. Ms. N.Gayathri won 2 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals in Rifle events. Ms. Sandhya W. won 2 Individual Bronze Medals.
3) 14th Kumar Surender Singh Shooting Championship held at Delhi during 2014. Ms. P.Shri Nivetha won the Silver Medal.
4) 15th Kumar Surender Singh Shooting Championship held at at Trivandrum during February 2015. Miss. N.Gayathri won 3 Silver Medals and Miss. P.Shri Nivetha won the Bronze Medal in Junior Category.
5) 35th National Games at Kerala from 31st January to 14th February 2015 Ms. Sandhya W. won the Silver Medal in the individual event.
Ms. Asiya F.Khilji won the Gold Medal in the Trap Women’s Team event and the Bronze Medal in the Trap Women’s Individual event and also in the Double Trap Women’s Team event.
Ms. Asila F.Khilji won the Gold Medal in the Trap Team event in Women’s category

1. ISSF Cup Junior Competition held at Suhl, Germany from 3rd to 8th June 2013.
2. 23rd Meeting of Shooting Hopes held at Pilzen, Czech Republic from 13th to 16th June 2013.
Ms. P.Shree Nivetha of Coimbatore Rifle Club have won a Individual Silver Medal in Air Pistol Junior Women Category and a Team Bronze Medal in Sports Pistol Junior Women Category in Meeting of Shooting Hopes Competition held at Pilzen, Czech Republic.
Master Aadesh K.Chetty has won a Team Bronze Medal in 50mtr Rifle 3 Position Junior Men Category and Ms. Sandhy W has won 2 Team Bronze medals in 50mtr Rifle Prone Junior Women Category and 50mtr Rifle 3 Position Junior Women Category in 6th Asian Air Gun Championship along with 25mtr and 50mtr Rifle and Pistol Shooting Competition held at Tehran, Iran from 19th to 25th October 2013.

National Championships:
a) 38th Tamilnadu Rifle Shooting competition by Madurai Shooting Association from 15th to19th August 2012.
b) Tamilnadu took part in 2nd Glory Competition held at Pune from 12th to 18th September 2012 and Tamilnadu won 8 Gold, 6 Silver & 2 Bronze.
c) South Zone Championship at Hyderabad from 15th to 21st October 2012 and Tamil Nadu secured 5 Gold, 4 silver & 2 Bronze.
d) Tamilnadu participated at the All India G.V.Mavlankar Rifle Shooting & Pistol and Shotgun events at New Delhi from 4th to 10th November 2012 and Tamilnadu won 7 Gold, 5 Silver & 4 Bronze.
e) At the 2nd Asian Shooting Shotgun events were held at Patiala from 28/11/2012 to 09/12/2012 & Mr. R.Prithviraj Thondaiman won a Gold in Trap event.
At the 56th National Shooting events in Rifle & Pistol & Shotgun events at New Delhi from 19th to 30th December 2012, Tamilnadu won 4 Gold, 4 Silver & 10 Bronze.
