Achievements 2021-2022
41st Junior National Rowing Championship held at Pune, Maharashtra from 8th to 12th December 2021 and won 1 Silver in Double Scull (2x) Women & 1 Bronze Medal in Fours (4-) Women.
Senior National Rowing Championship held at Pune, Maharashtra from 3rd to 9th January 2022. Tamilnadu won 2 Bronze Medals in the Women 4- and 2- event.
Ms. Rose Meryl Mestica, Ms. Tamilselvi and Ms. Bagavthi were invited to the National Camp which was held in Hyderabad, Telangana from February 2022.
Ms. Pooja qualified for the U-23 (2000mtr) World Rowing Indoor Championship.
Ms. Lavanya Nambiar finished 4th in the Asian Indoor Rowing Championship.
Ms. Rose Meryl Mestica won Silver Medal in the U-19 Asian Indoor Rowing Championship
Ms. Madhumitha won Silver Medal in the U-17 Asian Indoor Rowing Championship
Mr. M.V.Sriram attended Tokyo Olympics as a delegate of NOC. He was also the delegate from India at the Asian Rowing Federation Annual General Body Meeting.
Achievements 2020-2021
The very first time The World Rowing Federation conducted the World Rowing Indoor (Virtual) Championships
Several Rowers from Tamilnadu took part in the Indoor World qualifiers Championships Ms. S.Pooja qualified for the finals & finished 11th in the under-23 2000mts.
Achievements 2019-2020
Tamilnadu won 1Gold and 1 Bronze Medal in the Sub-Junior Championship
1 Bronze in the Inter State Championship.
Achievements 2018-2019
21st Sub-Junior and 3rd Inter-State National Rowing Championships was organised by the Tamilnadu Amateur Rowing Association during the first week of June 2018. Around 467 participants from all over India from 22 States participated, which was held for 5 days.
TARA won 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals in this Championship.
37th Senior National Rowing Championship was held in Maharashtra in December 2018. 4 member TamilNadu team participated in it.
Achievements 2017-2018
1) 20th Sub-Junior and 2nd Inter-State National Rowing Championship, organized by West Bengal
Rowing Association at Calcutta during the first week of June 2017.
Tamilnadu won 1Gold and 1 Bronze Medal
2) 38th Junior National Rowing Championship was held in Cuttack, Odisha conducted by Odisha
Sculling and Rowing Association
Tamilnadu won 1 Bronze in the Girls Coxless
Achievements 2016-2017
The Tamilnadu Amateur Rowing Association organized the 19th Sub-Junior and 1st Inter-State National Rowing Championships in Porur, Chennai from 6th to 11th June 2016, along with Ramachandra Medical College. Ramachandra Medial College is a New Rowing Centre promoting the sports Rowing. Around 400 participants from all over India took part in it.
TARA won 2 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals in this Championship
In Challenger Category – women Single Scull – Bronze.
Achievements 2015-2016
The first National Championship for the year 2015 was the 18th Sub-Junior and 19th Challenger National Rowing Championships, organized by The Karnataka Rowing Association (KARA) in Bengaluru, from 9th June to 13th June-2015. TARA was placed second in the Overall Championship
The 16th Asian Rowing Championship was held in Beijing, China, between the 24-28th Sep-2015. Lakshman Rohith Maradappa of TARA won a SILVER MEDAL in Men’s Coxed Eights
Achievements 2014-2015
a) In Sub-Junior Category: Tamilnadu Sub-Junior Girls won the Gold Medal in the Coxed Fours event and the Bronze medal in the Doubles Sculls event. The Tamilnadu Boys won the Silver Medal in both the Coxed Fours and Coxless Pair’s events.
b) In Challenger Category: The Tamilnadu Women’s team won the Gold Medal in the Double Sculls event and the Men’s Team won the Silver Medal in the Doubles Sculls event.
Achievements 2013-2014
Tamilnadu Amateur Rowing Association sent a 30 member team for this National competition and Tamilnadu Rowers won 2 Bronze and 1 Silver.
33rd Open National Championship was held in Pune, Maharashtra in the first week of February 2014. Tamilnadu team won 1 Bronze.
Achievements 2012-2013
Tamilnadu Rowers won 6 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals at the 15th Sub-Junior and 16th Challenger National Rowing Championship organized by Tamilnadu Amateur Rowing Association at Kodaikanal.
3 Girls from Tamilnadu namely a) Tarunikha Pratap, b) Ashwathy Nair & c) Aditi Subramaniam represented India in the 18th Asian Junior Championship in Nanchang, China in August 2012.
Achievements 2011-2012
Three Girls from Tamilnadu namely Aditi Subramaniam, Ashwini Nair and Tarunika Pratap have been selected for the National Coaching Camp for the Asian Junior Rowing Championship to be held during September 2012 in China.
