International Women’s Football

We congratulate Ms. Indumathi who has been nominated as Captain of Indian Women Team which played the International Friendly match in Uzbekistan, Russia. She has also been selected to represent India in the forthcoming AFC Women Asian Cup 2020-2021.

Ms. Sowmiya Narayansamy and Ms. Sandhiya Ranganathan also represented India in the International Friendly match in Uzbekistan, Russia.

The Tamilnadu Football Association participated in the following National Football Championships:-

1. Hero Sub Junior National Football Championship from 03.09.19 to 08.09.2019 at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

2. Hero Junior Tier II National Football Championship from 10.12.2019 to 23.12.2019 at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh – Runner Up.

3. Sr.National Football Championship for Santhosh Trophy (S.Z) 05.11.2019 to 10.11.2019 at Kozhicode, Kerala.

For Women National Football Championships

1. Hero Sub Junior Girls NFC from 07.06.2019 to 20.06.2019 at Cuttack, Odisa - Q.Finals.

2. Hero Junior Girls NFC from 20.04.2019 to 01.05.2019 at Kolhapur, Maharastra- Q.Finals

3. 25th Senior Women NFC from 10.09.2019 to 24.09.2019 at Pasighat, Himachal Pradesh.

U/13 Boys State League for Academies 2019-20 held at Chennai from 23.11.2019 to 26.12.2019.

U/15 Boys State League for Academies 2019-20 held at Chennai from 30.11.2019 to 26.12.2019.

State League for Women Academies 2019-20 held at Chennai from 19.12.2019 to 15.01.2020.

1. Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championship held at Hyderabad from 11th to 16th August 2018

2. Junior Boys National Football Championship held at Rajkot, Gujarat from 18th to 30th Nov. 2018.

3. 73rd Senior National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy (South Zone) held at Neyveli, Cuddalore District from 3rd to 8th February 2019.

4. Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championship held at Cuttack, Odisha from 1st to 12th July 2018.

5. Junior Girls National Football Championship held at Goa from 20th to 31st August 2018.

6. Senior Women National Football Championship held at Cuttack, Odisha from 18.09.2018 to 02.10.2018.

Achievements of Referees for the year 2018-2019

Referees promotion and Recruitment exam were conducted on 23rd to 25th November 2018 at various Centres.

13 Referees have been promoted to National Grade (1 Women Referee)

Achievements 2017-2018

1. 11 out of 13 National Referees elevated to Elite Panel of AIFF and officiated in Indian Super League.

2. Ms. Ruba Devi and M.Venkatesh promoted to IFIA Panel as Referees.

3. 108 new CAT-5 Referees got recruited in TFA

4. Mr. P.Baskar elevated as AFC Referee Instructor

5. TFA conducted Seminar for Referees in 6 Centres.

Great achievement, Tamilnadu Women’s team won the Senior National Championship for the first time.

Achievements 2016-2017

The Tamilnadu Football Association organized the Sub-Junior National Football Championship for Boys (South Zone Qualifying rounds) at Neyveli from 28th December 2016 to 2nd January 2017 and Tamilnadu Qualified for the final rounds.

Achievements 2015-2016

1. 21st Senior Women’s National Football Championship (Final Round) held at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh from 2nd to 15th February 2016.

2. 50th Junior National Football Championship for Dr. B.C.Roy Trophy held at Hosiarpur, Punjab from 25th January to 3rd February 2016.

3. 70th Senior National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy (Final Round) held at Nagpur, Maharashtra from 29th February to 16th March 2016.

a) Ms. S.Muthuselvi (Dindigul) was selected for U-19 Women’s Football Championship Qualifying Round-I held at Amman, Jordon during 2014.

b) Ms. Darshini (Chennai) & Ms. T.Bhuvana (Dindigul) attended the National Coaching Camp from 10th to 18th March 2015, in preparation for the AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship 2015 to be held at Kathmandu, Nepal from 20th to 25th April 2015

2) 49th Junior Nationals at Ranchi from 19th to 29th September 2013.

3) U-14 Boys Football Tournament at Kalyani, West Bengal from 10th to 16th November 2013.

4) Junior Girls Nationals at odisha from 20th November to 5th December 2013.

5) AIFF Fitness Test & Pre Federation Cup Training for Referees at Chennai from 8th to 11th January 2014.

6) NALCO All India Women Tournament at Biju Pattanaick Sports Complex, Nalco Nagar, Odisha from 3rd to 9th October 2013.

Tamilnadu Football Association has organized the 2nd TFA Under-23 Futsal State Championship for Men and 1st TFA Under-23 State Championship for Women at Nagapattinam from 10th to 17th June 2012.
