Due to the Covid 19 pandemic situation, the Basketball Association conducted only the online Coaches / Referees Clinics.

Achievements 2018-2019

a) 32nd Federation Cup National Basketball Championship for Men & women at Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh from 1st to 6th May 2018. Tamilnadu Men & Women teams won the Championship.

b) 69th Junior National Basketball Championship for Boys & Girls (U-18) at Guru Nanak Dev. Indoor Stadium, Ludhiana, Punjab from 7th to 14th May 2018. Tamilnadu Girls team Winners.

c) FIBA Asia Pro Quest 3x3 – India Qualifiers on 23rd & 24th June 2018 at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore. Tamilnadu Boys team secured 3rd Place & Girls team Runners.

d) 35th Youth National Basketball Championship for Boys & Girls (U-16) at Atal Bihari Multipurpose Hall Sports Complex M L Sukhadia University, Udaipur from 30.09.2018 to 07.10.2018. Tamilnadu Boys team secured 3rd Place.

e) 45th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship for Boys & Girls (U-13) at Municipal Ground Himachal Pradesh Basketball Courts, Kangra from 12th to 18th November 2018. Tamilnadu Girls team Runner-up.

f) 69th Senior National Basketball Championship for Men & Women at Bhavnagar, Gujarat from 5th to 12th January 2019. Tamilnadu Men team secured 3rd Place & Women Runner-up.

Achievements 2016-2017

Under-13 National Championship at Hyderabad from 1st to 7th October 2016. Tamilnadu Girls emerged Third Place.

Under-16 National Championship at Hassan, Karnataka from 19th to 26th November 2016. Tamilnadu Girls emerged as Winners and Boys won Third Place.

Under-18 National Championship at Puducherry from 1st to 8th May 2016. Tamilnadu Boys won the GOLD and girls won the Silver.

Senior National Championship was held at Puducherry from 7th to 14th January 2017. Tamilnadu Men team won the Second Place and the Women teams’ were placed fifth.

The State Association successfully conducted the “31st Federation Cup” National Championship for Men & Women at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore from 22nd to 26th March 2017.

Achievements 2014-2015

1) 31st Youth Nationals for Boys & Girls held at Bhilai, Chhattisgarh from 26th May to 2nd June 2014. Both the Tamilnadu Boys & Girls teams won the Gold Medal.

2) 41st Sub-Junior Nationals for Boys & Girls held at Nasik, Maharashtra from 22nd to 28th November 2014.

3) 65th Junior Nationals for Boys & Girls held at Kochi, Kerala from 28th December 2014 to 3rd January 2015. The Tamilnadu Boys team secured the Bronze Medal

4) 65th Senior Nationals for Men & Women held at Bhilwara, Rajasthan from 28th December 2014 to 3rd January 2015. Both the Men’s & Women’s team won the Silver Medal.

5) 35th National Games held at Kochi, Kerala from 31st January to 14th February 2015. Both the Tamil Nadu Men’s & Women’s Team won the Silver Medal.

6) 53rd South Zone Basketball Championship for Men & Women held at Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh from 3rd to 7th March 2015. The Tamilnadu Men’s team bagged the Gold Medal while the Women’s team, the Silver Medal.

Achievements 2012-2013

Tamilnadu Basketball team participated in the Senior Men & Women Nationals. The Women’s team secured Runners-up position.

In the Senior South Zone Championship for Men and Women, the Men’s team finished Winners and the Women’s team as Runners-up.

At the Federation Cup held at Bangalore, Senior Women’s team won the First place.

At the National 3x3 Championship Senior Men became the Winners.

Mr. Pratham Singh represented the Indian National team at the FIBA 3x3 World Championship held at Thailand.

Ms. Raja Priyadarshini represented the Indian National Women Team at FIBA 3x3 World Championship held at Thailand.

Ms. Vyshali Kemkar represented the Indian National Junior Girls Team at FIBA 3x3 World Championship at Thailand.

Mr. Dinakaran was nominated as Coach for the Indian National Women’s Team which participated in the 34th William Jones Cup held at Taiwan during July 2012
