ii) 19th Federation Cup National Senior Athletic Championships at Mangalore – Tamilnadu won 5 Gold, 6 Silver & 4 Bronze Medals. Tamilnadu team won the Runner-up in the overall Championship.

iii) 13th Federation Cup National Junior Athletic Championship at Hyderabad – Tamilnadu won 6 Gold, 4 Silver & 9 Bronze Medals.

iv) 55th National Inter State Senior Athletic Championship at Chennai – Tamilnadu won 8 Gold, 3 Silver & 7 Bronze Medals. In the above Championship also Tamilnadu were the Runner-up.

v) 31st National Junior Athletics Meet at Ranchi – Tamilnadu won 16 Gold, 21 Silver & 14 Bronze Medal.

vi) 55th National Open Athletic Championship at Kolkata – Tamilnadu won 1 Gold, 3 Silver & 1 Bronze.

vii) 27th South Zone Junior Athletic Championships at Kakinada – Tamilnadu won 43 Gold, 35 Silver & 37 Bronze Medals.

The Tamilnadu players won 8 Gold, 2 Silver & 1 Bronze totaling 13 Medals in the 12th South Asian Games held at Guwahati, Assam.

Mr. Ganapathy of Tamilnadu qualified in Walking Race for the 2016 Olympics to be held in Rio, Brazil

S.Priyadarshini of Tamilnadu won Silver Medal in the Triple Jump event in the World School Games held at Wuhan, China.
