Achievements 2021-2022

Ms Ridhuvarshini, created history in the Youth world Championships at Poland on 10th August 2021 when she scored the highest in the Cadet Compound team event and won the Gold Medal. World Archery Federation awarded her a certificate for creating a world record. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu gave a cash award of Rs 6 lakhs to Ridhuvarshini for her accomplishment.

Ms. Sanjana, the 6 year old Archery prodigy created her 5th World record when she shot 75 arrows into a rotating target above looking downwards into its reflection in water.

Achievements 2020-2021

The Archery Association of Tamilnadu conducted / participated the following State / National events during the year 2020-2021

The 13th Tamilnadu State Archery Meet that was postponed due to second wave of COVID -19 was conducted at Chennai, from 21st to 27th February 2021, and 971 archers from 32 districts participated.

Full contingents of 24 Archers from Tamilnadu participated in Indian Round, Recurve Round and Compound Round and performed well, in the Junior Nationals at Dehradun, Uttarkand from 7th to 16th March 2021

Ms. Sanjana, the 6 year old Archery prodigy created her 5th World Record when she shot 75 arrows into a rotating target above looking downwards into its reflection in water.

Achievements 2019-2020

U.P.Sanjana a Four year Old Girl Archery prodigy very successfully completed her third World Record attempt on 15th August 2019 when she shot 327 arrows into the target in 1 hour with blindfolded eyes

Miss. Kamna Jain became the first Women Archer from Tamilnadu to be selected for the Stage II Tokyo Olympic Trials and Camp conducted at Pune ASI from 1st to 4th January 2020 in the recurve division.

Achievements 2018-2019

The Tamilnadu State Archery teams participated in the following National Championships

1. Mini National Championship held at Vijayawada from 24th to 27th October 2018.

2. Junior Nationals held at Bhopal from 7th to 14th February 2019

3. Senior Nationals held at Odisha from 15th to 17th March 2019.

Tamilnadu won a total of 17 Medals in various Nationals during the year.

World Record

M/s. Sanjana, a three year old Child created a World Record on 15th August in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of Sports by shooting 1111 arrows nonstop in 3 hours 27 minutes.

Achievements 2017-2018

It conducted the 10th Tamilnadu State Archery Meet 2017 on 7th & 8th October 2017 at MGR Janaki College Sports Ground. More than 200 Archers (Boys & Girls) from all over the State participated.

Achievements 2013-2014

1) Mini Sub-Junior at Vijayawada from 9th to 13th April 2013

2) 20th Senior Indian Recurve at Raipur from 17th to 21st April 2013. 21st Senior Indian event at Jabalpur from 9th to 13th November 2013

3) 36th Junior Nationals (Recurve & Compound) at Kokrajar, Assam from 23rd to 28th November 2013.

4) 34th Senior (Recurve & Compound) Championship in Jamshedpur from 22nd to 26th December 2013 and got 6 Merit Certificates.

Achievements 2011-2012

The State Meet was successfully hosted at SDAT Ground, Nehru Park on 20th November 2011 inviting all factions of Archery without discrimination.

The Archery Association of Tamilnadu has taken the responsibility of hosting the 33rd Senior Recurve, Compound and Para Archery Nationals at Chennai from 26th to 31st December 2011.

The Tamilnadu State Archers represented in all the 5 National Tournaments conducted all over the country (i.e.) Mini, Sub-Junior at Vijayawada, Junior in Shillong, Sub-Junior at Ajmeer, Senior Indian Round in Bhopal and Senior recurve / compound at Jamshedpur
